Today I spent nearly six hours playing Super Smash Brothers Brawl with some of my closest friends. I have to say my favorite all time character is Snake. Fast, sneaky, and powerful I was able to dominate every single match. I <3 Snake.

Shopping for parents.

It’s almost my mom’s 50th birthday, and as her lovely daughter. I began shopping for her birthday gift. But please assure me that this is common. Every year you save some money and buy her an overly extravagant gift (well what you consider extravagant, due to your measly budget). But when she opens it, she’ll be like “OH WOW!” and “Exactly what I wanted” but it procedes to be placed in the back of closet with the other yearly gifts. My only solution is buy the most practical object she needs. This year she is complaining about the Mighty Mouse that she’s using with her Macbook. I just ordered her a brand new one, and as an extra bonus. It matches the red Speck Cover on her computer. It’s something she has to use. For parents, buy an item they are sure to use. I’m thinking mouses, watches, cases or whatever you see your parents use on a daily basis. Makes shopping a little less painful.

The Songs of My Life

Inspired by iMacarly’s post.

So basically you put your iTunes library on shuffle and for every prompt you type the name of the song that is playing.  Some of them kind of creepily matched up.

Waking Up  Her Majesty- The Beatles

First Day At School: Message In A Bottle- The Police

Falling In Love: Dear Prudence- The Beatles

Fight Song: Mr. Brightside - The Killers

Breaking Up: Good Girls Go Bad - Cobra Starship

Prom: Jessie’s Girl (Glee Version)

Life: Walking the Dog - Fun.

Mental Breakdown: Boston- Augustana

Driving: When You Were Young - The Killers

Flashback: Happiness is a Warm Gun- The Beatles

Wedding: The General - Dispatch

Final Battle: River Flows in You- Yiruma

Death Scene: Guilty Pleasure - Cobra Starship

Funeral Song: Look After You - The Fray

End Credits: Rocketman - Elton John

My songs didn’t match up that well, but its probably due to the fact that I listen to the strangest variety of music.

$12 iPhone 4 Bumper

Why pay 30 bucks if you can just pay 12? Well who knows if we’re going to end up getting them for free. But a deal is a deal.

Goodbye Apple Keyboard

The time has officially come, where I give up trying to use my Apple aluminum keyboard. After 8 months with the thing, I’m ready to move on. I was first awed by its slim profile and aluminum looks but it has pushed me over the edge. The keys are too flat to be responsive enough for me. Maybe because I learned how to type on a basic Dell keyboard, I need more of response, when I type a sentence out.

The keyboard has ruined my accuracy, constantly mistyping as I work on homework or type out a Twitter. It’s infuriating. Going to school and using the Dell keyboard is almost like an oasis from this issue. On the Dell, less errors, and quicker typing.

I’m hoping Apple releases new keyboards soon, though it seems unlikely. After making the switch from the Mighty Mouse to the MX Revolution, I’m probably going to go Logitech for my next keyboard purchased. I would be surprised that Apple would leave its focus on design to produce a usable keyboard, or have motivation to. The redesigned keyboard is highly loved by other mac users for its sleek profile. But for me, that design doesn’t cover the fact that typing on it is a pain.
